Flawed

A flashpoint to inflame our futile future,
Fevered and flailed, forlorn, flattened Fallujah,
Engulfed in firefights and phosphorous burns,
In an infernal furnace forged, foretells
By 'Phantom Fury' [1] unforgiveable,
A fearful fallout for our future fate.

There, U.S. forces defecate and foul,
Taking the field for fleeting gratification,
With rifles felling fleeing refugees,
Fatalities and fodder for fear-founded faith.
This fierce fracas, fronted for fool's gold,
Outfaces God, our downfall to unfold.

December 2004

[1]      The U.S. codenamed its destruction of Fallujah as 'Operation Phantom Fury.'
