Wishing Well

A wretched weekend warrior awry,
Unworthy, wicked, wayward, wimpish, weak,
An unweened wastrel and whistler of wind,
Wool-wearing wolf, [1] weasel, or wily worm,
With whipped up words of wrath unwarranted,
With whoppers wrapped up in warped wit and writ,
With wormwood witchcraft wreaking worldwide woe,
Unwisely waged a wrongful, wasteful war,
Without a who, when, wherefore, why or what,
Wrung out the winepress of each weeping wound
In wreckage wrought by Wolfowitzian whim.
The winking wanker of the Whitewashed House,
Wooing his weeny-weedy-weechy [2] worship,
Womanish wonder wearing a worn-out wreath,
Has with the "Willing" [3] wielded weapons on
The woeful widow and the wasted wight
In warring wont to wipe the wide world white.
We in the wilderness would witness why
We want no W. this wintertime.

[1]      Matthew 7:15

[2]      Pronunciation of Julius Caesar's words 'Veni, Vidi, Vici', meaning "I came, I saw, I conquered."

[3]      The U.S. government referred to the handful of largely inconsequential powers that joined its invasion of Iraq as "The Coalition of the Willing". Given the bribery involved in securing the support of these countries, some commentators jokingly referred to them as "The Coalition of the Billing".
