Setting the Standard

(regarding ratings agency, Standard & Poor's)

For "Objectivity" we raise our flag,
"Integrity" and "Excellence" uphold.
While other agencies in prowess lag,
We hail "Thought Leadership" in mission bold.
But what is this? A piece proclaiming truth?
We'd better put this article on hold.
This dash of criticism is uncouth
And our intrepid feet are getting cold.
The companies pay us, and who are we
To bite the hand that feeds us or to scold?
Let us be mute, observing silently,
Nor let our own discoveries be told.
Tell Ian Reed his findings to withhold.
Our hands are tied and our opinion sold.
