Rumifications

A cheering remnant on the Baghdad streets,
Tearing the vestiges of Saddam's reign,
Topple a statue. Donald Rumsfeld greets
The news, exulting over Iraq's slain.

"It's reminiscent of the Berlin Wall,"
He says, "and how the Iron Curtain fell."
Lest Truth be heard, atrocities appall,
His dull deceit drowns out Death's dismal knell.

Though jubilation be the hour's fashion,
Be not deceived by Bush's right-hand liar.
Iraq is cast, amid the height of passion,
From Saddam's frying pan to Bush's fire.
