Ode to the Danseuse

Some called thee a salsa dancer
And some called thee their Muse,
Some said thy tango was inspired
And the swingers were amused.

Some have cut a rug with thee
And some have torn a sheet.
For vertical or horizontal,
They say you can't be beat.

But none of these descriptions can supply
Thy fullness that I comprehend,
For I am blessed beyond compare
That I can call thee 'friend'.
