Nave-ery

At that most sacred secular altar
Where sincere citizens their sacrifice
Serve to secure the seat of liberty,
The scheming supervisors ballots alter.

In that most holy place have they set up
Abomination causing desolation
As Daniel in prophetic voice foretold, [1]
To proffer poison from a pretty cup.

Church-goers might label it predestination
That voting outcomes in advance are set,
But predatory election predilection
Children of God call vote manipulation.

November 2004

[1]      Daniel 11:31
