BombBay
(Sonnet)
To celebrate their nuclear exchange,
With India's prime minister Bush meets.
The facile fissile fixture is arranged,
The sycophantic hugs and handshakes greet.
Enthroned in ease, the dignitaires
Chomp curried balls and perfumed palace fare,
Then adding gusto to the pleasantries,
Their worships toast each other with hot air.
Then off to homage Gandhi, Bush is led,
A lawless man to laud the lamb of peace
Who cannot answer, fashionably dead,
Yet incense must incense where lies increase.
A fitting end, destruction's pact to seal,
For men whose only lift-off's made of steel.
