Battle Hymn of the Republican

(to the tune of 'Battle Hymn of the Republic')

We overthrew the despot and America was free,
We kicked the British from our soil and won our liberty,
We got rid of King George with his reign of tyranny,
So fly high our banners now.

Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! so fly high our banners now!

We wrote the Constitution to preserve our happiness
With freedom of assembly for our grievances' redress,
A beacon to the nations who would censor and repress,
We boast of our prowess now.

Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! we boast of our prowess now!

We paid the price of civil war t'abolish slavery,
We shed the blood of patriots to mark our bravery,
We helped to end in two world wars the curse of empery
So proud fly our colors now.

Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! so proud fly our colors now!

We killed the men of countries who opposed our point of view,
We raped their daughters, starved their kids, and tortured them anew,
We lied, we stole, we murdered, it's our mission so to do,
For we are the tyrants now.

Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! for we are the tyrants now!
